Orlando is the home to the most magical place on earth. It is also the largest theme park destination in the world. There are a dozen different parks you can experience, each with unique attractions. An Orlando vacation package can save you hundreds of dollars on lodging, which leaves you more money for the attractions. You and your family can enjoy the bright Florida sun and some quality family entertainment.
Water Parks
That should just about sum up 85% of the reasons people travel to Orlando. The theme parks are wonderful. There is one tailored for everyone in the family. If you enjoy the water, Wet N Wild is for you. They have dozens of extreme water slides for the older kids and an epic splash park for the youngsters. For other water lovers who have an inclination to see our aquatic friends, they can hop over to Sea World. Sea World is home to the Legendary Shamu. You can watch trainers fly through the air with the giant killer whale. After the show, if you are hungry, there is a restaurant where you can dine next to the gentile giant. SeaWorld has a couple of extreme thrill rides, but the most notable is the Kraken. This rollercoaster is the only floorless coaster in Orlando. For more splashing fun, you can head next door to the Aquatica Waterpark where you can enjoy water slides from dawn until dusk.
Disney World
Waterparks are not the only option when you are in Orlando, but they do serve as a reprieve from the brutal Florida sun. Your other options include the world famous Disney Parks. Disney owns four major theme parks in Orlando: Disney World, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Disneys Hollywood Studios. Disney also owns two waterparks in Orlando: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. The Disney theme parks alone attract roughly 52 million people every year. For the full experience try staying in one of the Disney Hotel resorts, with a vacation package you can save megabucks on the room and even the parks.
Universal Studios
The next theme park options are the lesser known but still absurdly popular Universal Parks. Universal owns two parks in Orlando, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Islands of Adventure is a multi-themed park with rides and shows. You can experience Jurassic Park, Marvel Comic books, and the newest addition The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, during your visit. Universal Studios does not house any large roller coasters but they do have simulation thrill rides that thrust you into the scenes of well-known movies. You can meet Jaws, experience Twister first hand, or face off with The Mummy if you think you are brave enough.
Orlando is one of the largest tourist attractions in the world. Millions of people travel great distances to witness the wonders that Orlando has to offer. Most of these people pay a fortune for hotels, park admission, food and transportation. With a vacation package, you could save up to thousands of dollars on your family vacation to Orlando.
